Mr. Christos Mastoras
Founder & Managing Partner , Iliad PartnersChristos is the Founder & Managing Partner of Iliad Partners, a Venture Capital fund based in ADGM, UAE that invests in early-stage tech startups in the MENA region.
He has actively been making VC investments in MENA since 2016, including in regional success stories such as Trukker. Christos is a VC investor and former tech entrepreneur (4x startups, 4x exits), digital executive, and management consultant with more than 23 years of experience in the US, Europe, and MENA.
Based in Dubai since 2007, he was previously the Head of Business Development of Yahoo! Maktoob and an engagement manager with Booz & Company. Christos previously held operating roles at four startups he built and exited: GlamBox (UAE), Upstream (Greece), govWorks (US) and SloanGear (US).
He has served on the Boards of several startups, is a founding Board Member of the Middle East Venture Capital Association (MEVCA). He was a founding Advisory Board member of MAGNiTT and part of the Steering Committee of In5, a Dubai technology incubator.
Christos holds a Master in Business Administration from the MIT Sloan School of Management and a Bachelor of Science in International Relations from Georgetown University.
